Teacher Registration with State Authorities
Teacher Registration is the second tier of the accreditation process which focusses on state requirements.
Each state and territory has a Teacher Registration Board that manages and regulates the registration of teachers. Below are links to each state's Teacher Registration Authority.
Check your State Authority to see what the current requirements are for registration and accreditation and how they link to the Standards. This will help inform you of how you should prepare your professional portfolio.

CertificationNational Certification is a voluntary and portable process that ensures teachers have access to a rigorous and transparent process that recognises Highly Accomplished and Lead teachers. It enables you to receive feedback on your practice and have your practice evaluated by nationally trained assessors who are external to your school.
When applying for Certification you are required to provide evidence (in the form of annotated artefacts) of your practice against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers at the Highly Accomplished or Lead career stage. Click here for some examples of what the annotated artefacts may look like. |
