TIME FOR THIS CHALLENGE 1-3 hours (you can just glean the basic information or 'dig deeper' if you choose and use the results to set some goals for future growth).
This Challenge will focus on using the Self Assessment Tool to help identify which Standards you can show evidence against and which you will need to take further action to address. The questionnaire itself takes about 15 minutes, however the results allow you to analyse your strengths and weaknesses and target the areas that need further work. It will also help you get a better idea about what each of the standards mean. You may find that many of the questions do not relate to you directly in your current role. This is to be expected given the nature of our jobs BUT we still need to find ways to respond to each standard (this we will address in later Challenges).
The results can be presented in a number of ways -
HINT: Use the Responses generated from the questionnaire as the basis for your statement against each standard.
After completing the questionnaire it will become evident where the 'gaps' in your evidence will be. It also highlights the areas of strength. FOCUS ON THOSE AREAS OF STRENGTH TO GET YOUR PORTFOLIO STARTED. POPULATE THOSE PORTFOLIO PAGES FIRST.
Step One
Watch the video below to see how the Self Assessment Tool works.
Step Two
Register to complete the Self Assessment.
Step Three
Review the results of the Questionnaire and, if desired, complete the goal setting activity which will assist you in determining how to move forward with the collection of your evidence.
Step Four
Save and print all results in the various formats. These will become an important part of your toolkit for the remainder of the Challenge as you interrogate each standard to create your response.

The results can be presented in a number of ways -
- A graphic representation with a list of strengths and weaknesses (as determined by the questionnaire)
- Your goals based on areas that need further attention with links to relevant support
- A guide for how to collect certification evidence
