TIME TO DO THIS ACTIVITY - approx. 60 minutes
This first challenge is designed to make sure you have all of the necessary documents at hand throughout the Challenge. You can print the documents and / or place them in a folder on your computer.
REFERENCE DOCUMENTS
Step One
Go to the AITSL website and download and print a copy of the Standards.
Step Two
Go to the Planning Documents and Tools page and download copies of the following:
FOLDERS TO STORE DOCUMENTS AND EVIDENCE
Step Three
Create a folder on your computer called Portfolio and place copies of these documents there.
Step Four
Within the Portfolio folder set up sub-folders for each of the Standards (Standard 1; Standard 2 etc).
Step Five
Within each of the Standards folders create a sub-folder for each of the sub standards (1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc). This is where you will store your evidence as you collect it.
IF YOU HAVE EXTRA TIME
Step Six
Familarise yourself with the documents you have downloaded and printed as they will be used throughout the Challenge.
Step Seven
Download a copy of the Standards App onto your mobile device.
Explore the potential use of the Standards App for collecting your evidence.
Step Eight
Familarise yourself with the AITSL website if you have not already done so.
CONTRIBUTE TO THE BLOG
Introduce yourself. It will be useful for you to connect with other participants who have a similar working context to share ideas.
If you have any other planning documents you think may be useful for the group, email them to me and I will add them to the planning documents section.

- The Ready Reckoner (which will help you to easily identify which standards applies to your evidence)
- The Challenge Checklist (this is used to check off tasks as they are completed)
- The Planning Sheet or Evidence Sheet (these sheets are designed to help you formalise your statements against each standard. You will need to make multiple copies - one for each sub-standard).
